Chemistry

Prof. Frode Rise, University of Oslo NMR Center.

The Chemistry Research Section in Oxy Solutions is headed by Professor Frode Rise who is a member of the research unit, ‘Synthesis of molecular structures’ (SMS) at the Institute for Chemistry, University of Oslo.

The activities of SMS: http://www.mn.uio.no/kjemi/forskning/grupper/sms is directed at the synthesis of organic molecules and structure studies using x-ray crystallography and NMR – spectroscopy. The group comprises 7 senior researchers and professors together with their colleagues. In addition to his SMS participation in SMS Prof. Rise heads the University of Oslo NMR Centre’: http://www.mn.uio.no/kjemi/english/research/about/infrastructure/nmr/

Rise works with nuclear-magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) the metabolism of the brain and the identification and structural definition of biologically active substances from plants and marine organisms. In addition, he works in the field of NMR metabolic-directed solutions to medical problems.  The chemical research into super-oxygenated water aims at the measurement of oxygen content with the aid of magnetic applications and the examination of exactly how and why oxygen is bound up in water.

The Chemistry Research Section concentrates of 4 main fields:

  1. Assist in the identification of the positive effect of super oxygenated-water in biological systems, hereunder cells, tissue and organs.
  2. Improve and further develop our technology.
  3. Identify new applications.
  4. Increase the understanding of the basic principles of the mechanisms governing the special properties of super-oxygenated water.

The experimental research is conducted at the University of Oslo NRM Centre.
